Biersticks — what a beer is for
A bierstick is a cured sausage, individually portioned, built to be eaten with one hand while the other one is holding something cold. That’s not a marketing line, that’s the entire design brief, and it has been for about four hundred years.
We make ours the same way we make the mettwurst — fermented, cured, smoked over real wood. Then we portion them, because a 400g sausage is a commitment and a bierstick isn’t.
The range
- Plain Mettwurst Biersticks (10 pack) — $35. The benchmark. Start here.
- Garlic Mettwurst Biersticks (10 pack) — $35. Garlic right through it.
- Hot Mettwurst Biersticks (10 pack) — $35. Real heat.
- Salami Sticks (10 pack) — $35. Firmer, drier, more fermented tang.
- Burners Biersticks (10 pack) — $35. Chilli-coated. For people who mean it.
- Kangaroni Biersticks (3 pack) — $15. Kangaroo. Leaner and darker, with a proper iron depth.
Cured the old way
Biersticks are cured sausage, and the cure is the point — salt, ferment, smoke, time, and a curing salt, the same one German butchers have used for generations and the same one that keeps cured meat safe to eat.
It’s on the label, where it belongs. What we will tell you is what isn’t in it:
- No fillers
- No artificial colours
- No dairy
- Gluten free
Why individually portioned?
Because they travel. Lunchboxes, glove boxes, tackle boxes, backpacks, eskies. Because you can hand one to someone without producing a knife. And because a whole mettwurst, once you open it, starts asking to be finished.
